The Ohio State University Professional Golf Management Program prepares students for a successful career in the golf industry. The goal of this program is to assist students in becoming members of the PGA and is the only program of this type in the state of Ohio.

Our students gain real-world experience through classroom study on Ohio State's two courses, internships at premier courses, and membership in the PGM Student Club.


  1. Spring Scott Harman Memorial Outing at Dayton Country Club Raises Over $21,000

    It was a beatiful spring day for family and friends of Scott Harman to gather and enjoy a round of golf in honor of Scott Harman.  Scott was a sophomore in the OSU PGM program who passed away in 2012 from a congenital heart condition.  In 2013, his mother Jeanne Harman started a scholarship fund at Ohio State in Scott's name and the proceeds from this outing are to be added to that fund.  By the end of the day, the outing raised over $21,000, which brings the fund total to approximately $33,000.  Jeanne's initial goal is to raise $50,000 to create a permanent end

    First Tee of Central Ohio, formerly known as Morty's Kids, invited a select group of junior golfers to participate in the eighth annual junior program at Ohio State, conducted by the OSU PGM Student Club.  Members of the club developed and put on the eight-week program for approximately 30 First Tee players.  Instruction included the nine Core Values of First Tee, golf etiquette, rules of golf, as well as the golf swing.  The program took place in the golf practice center of the OSU Recreation & Physical Activities Center (RPAC).  Overseeing this year's activ

  3. OSU PGM Club Finally Bests California University of Pennsylvania

    After tasting defeat in 2011 and 2012, members of the OSU PGM Club feasted on their victory over the PGM Club from the California University of Pennsylvania.   Playing under match-play rules, OSU PGM won the Ryder Cup-style event by a final tally of 7 - 5.   The tournament was all-square until Jimmy Thomas and Evan Hartnett closed out their matches on the 15th and 17th holes, respectively, giving OSU PGM the two match final margin.
