After 36 years at the Ohio State University, Professional Golf Management Director Dr. Ray Miller is retiring as of January 7, 2020. Prior to becoming the Director of the PGM program Ray served in several different capacities at the university including teacher, student advisor, researcher, outreach educator, and administrator. Ray’s vision for the golf management program began in 2002. After years of working with the university to get the major approved, the first students started the program in 2005. Since then, Ray has helped guide students to achieve their career aspirations. Ray has also been instrumental in securing funds from donors for scholarships, PGA Tour Simulator and Trackman. Without his hard work and dedication, the program would not be where it is today.
On behalf of the PGM staff, graduates and current students we would like to thank Ray for everything he has done for the program and the university. Ray was very dedicated to his students and always looked out for their best interest. Everyone associated with the Professional Golf Management Program will greatly miss his leadership, dedication to the program, and most of all, his friendship. We wish Ray and his wife, Debbie, the best in their retirement endeavors.
